Oooh, a peek at the cover of my new one…

I have a new story coming from Loose Id April 8th. It’s called Guarding My Heart and I shall give you a little blurb, and excerpt down below. It’s mostly M/M romance, with a tinge of suspense. Here’s a glimpse of the cover! So exciting when a new book comes out. It’s like Christmas morning, only no credit card bills! 🙂

As much as Scott would love to give into Liam sexually, he knows there is someone out there who has threatened Liam’s life. It complicates matters that Scott is beginning to lose his professional distance from Liam. Can these two damaged men let go of their fears, and help each other mend?

EXCERPT:

I walked with pride over to my bookcase near the window. “Behold my shot glass collection.”

“Every man should have one.” Scott gave a lopsided smile.

I swiveled one of the little glasses between my fingers. “Arizona for you, and I think I’ll have Hawaii,” I said, picking up the jigger adorned with foamy waves and hula girls.

“Fine with me. I was born in Arizona,” Scott answered, taking his glass from me. Our skin touched, sending a little tingle through my hand.

“That would explain your macho vibe.”

Scott whistled as he poured servings of the amber liquid into our appointed glasses.

“I always get it confused. Is it the salt first or the lime?” I quizzed him.

“Lick it, drink it, and suck it.” Scott flushed, laughing softly. “Let me rephrase that. Salt, tequila and then lime.”

“Who knew tough guys blush?”

Scott picked up the salt shaker and sprinkled the small white flecks on the back of his hand, but when he caught me staring, his brows scrunched together. “Hey, no fair just watching.”

“You’re hogging the salt,” I groused.

I seized my shot glass and took the salt from Scott. I licked the salt I’d dusted on my hand, then gulped the tequila, and finished by chomping on the lime. Bumping my empty glass on the tabletop, I hissed as the burning sensation spread from my throat to warm my stomach. “Ouch,” I choked out.

“I didn’t peg you as a lightweight.”

Fuck off.” I managed to squeeze the words out between coughs.

Scott watched me, smiling. “Potty mouth.”
