I have another short M/M story out today. It’s about a guy who has commitment issues. If you’re looking for a short, hot read you might enjoy this one.
EXCERPT:
Of all the days I could have picked to be tardy, this was the worst time to be late. We had a new manager arriving, and I was barely at the door when I heard Leandro’s husky voice behind me.
“I hate it when you sneak out. You make me feel like a whore you met on the docks or something.” He stood in the doorway of the bedroom, enjoying a full-lipped yawn. His soft black curls brushed his bare shoulders, and his dark sleepy eyes were full of reprimand. Even though I was in a huge hurry it was hard not to enjoy the view.
“I have to get back to my ship before the captain notices I’m missing.”
“Ha, ha.” He leaned on the doorjamb. “Come here and give me a proper goodbye, you jerk.”
I approached him and leaned in for a farewell kiss. His warm lips captured mine insistently and he tugged at my collar with his hands. “Why are you always in such a rush to get away from me?”
“I’m already late because I overslept. You kept me up too late, with your cheap booze and trampy ways.” I pulled away and ignored his groan. “I’ll call you.”
“Liar,” he said morosely.
When the new boss arrived I was on a call. But you don’t hang up on Lucinda Barkly. Not if you want to keep your job, that is. I’ll tell you one thing: Ryker Sloan didn’t look like a pushover. He swept me head to toe with his cool gaze, but no expression appeared on his perfect face. I couldn’t help but like what I saw. He was gorgeous. Tall and well built, with black hair and strong aristocratic cheekbones. My pulse seconded my opinion of him.
