Buying directly from the author saves you money and allows authors to keep more of the profits, rather than sharing with the big bad vendors. I kid, we all need and love the big guys like Amazon and Kobo etc, but they do take a real chunk out of our profits.
More importantly, they hold all the cards and can delete our accounts without warning. I don’t have to tell you how devastating that is to an author. Many authors, myself included, are investigating selling direct to buyers. For now, I just have my main series on my Fourthwall website, but I will have all the books up soon. And even though all the books aren’t up yet, the ones that are are at a reduced price!
I’m also toying with selling my audio direct.
Lots of exciting stuff coming in the near future, but for now, I’ll do what I love most, and get back to writing stories.
